
Bridget Claire Pappas, 34, of Uxbridge, died Wednesday, July 7th at home, with her loving family by her side after a 20 year battle with Lupus and associated complications. She is survived by her mother, Marie T. (Byrne) Kelleher, her stepfather, Peter O. Kelleher; her sister Brittany Byrne Pappas, all of Uxbridge; her stepsisters Kirsten Bagaglia and Allison Kelleher of Rhode Island; her nephew, Jaxon Wolf O'Malley and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, James and Frances (Healy) Byrne and her paternal grandparents, Angelo and Margaret (O'Coin) Pappas.
Bridget was born in Worcester, her father was the late James J. Pappas. She attended Worcester State University and volunteered as a tutor for the Avid Program at Doherty Memorial High School, her passion was teaching. Bridget had worked for People's United Bank as a teller for several years.
Her funeral mass will be held on Thursday, July 15th at 11:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove Street. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. We would like to thank the doctors and staff of Saint Vincent’s Dialysis Center, The Brigham & Women’s, Faulkner and Mass General hospitals for their care and support during Bridget’s many visits. We would also like to recognize VNA Hospice for their compassion and dedication to their patients. A special thank you to Bridget’s friends who supported her over the years, in good times and especially in not such good times. You know who you are, and so do we. We will forever be appreciative and will never forget you.
