Obituary

SOUTHBRIDGE - Ewa I. (Nyklewicz) Zielinski, 59, died peacefully Thursday, July 8, 2021
at home in the presence of her loving family.

She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Bogdan S. Zielinski. Ewa was a proud Mom to her beloved children, Elzbieta J Zielinski and Sebastian M Zielinski, 2 step-daughters, Veronica Clemens and her husband Dan of Boxford and Michelle Ferro of Shrewsbury. She also leaves behind 2 brothers, Pawel and Radoslaw and their spouses, 2 nieces and 3 nephews all in Poland. Ewa also leaves behind many friends who always felt like part of her family.

Mrs. Zielinski was born on May 7, 1962 in Lodz, Poland, the daughter of Zdzislaw and Jadwiga (Feter) Nyklewicz. She earned her Master’s Degree in the Polish Language Arts and worked as a teacher and then a journalist in Poland, prior to moving to the US in 1998 where she obtained a degree in Nursing. She was truly dedicated to her patients working as a Registered Nurse at Harrington Hospital for many years until December of 2019 when she needed to retire due to her illness.

In addition to being a wonderful Wife and Mom, she was also a great Friend to many who will miss her dearly. Ewa was always full of life, she enjoyed bringing people together, hosting many wonderful parties. In her illness she was overwhelmed by the love and support of her Friends and Family during such a difficult time.

Ewa loved to travel, in addition to many European vacations, she also took several cross- country trips with her Family.

Her Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 12, from the Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster with a Mass at 10:00 am in Saint Andrew Bobola Church, 54 West Main Street, Dudley where she was a member. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace, Webster. Calling hours will be held Sunday, July 11 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
