VENTURA, CA.- Sonya Lee Campbell, 28, of 6378 Whippoorwill St., Ventura formerly of Worcester, died suddenly on April 2, 2006.
She is survived by her mother Christina (Nugent) Oldenburg and her stepfather Randy Oldenburg, and her father Mark Campbell and step mother Ann. Sonya leaves two half brothers, Luke and John Campbell; three half sisters, Hannah, Elisabeth and Gabrielle Campbell; 2 step brothers, Randy and Brandon Oldenburg, and a stepsister Erin Rivett; her grandmothers, Mary Nugent and Virginia Casey, a great-grandmother Anna DeFeudis; an aunt, Helen Matukevitch, her uncle Keith Nugent and his wife Jill. She is also predeceased by her beloved “Papa.”
Sonya attended schools in Paxton and Holden, graduating from Wachusett Regional High School. She attended Brooks Institute in Ventura, California where she was completing her final year of study. She was an accomplished artist/photographer beginning to show in galleries, garnering interest in the art community.
A funeral service will held on Saturday, April 8, at 11:00 a.m. in DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., Worcester, MA. There will be a calling hour from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. www.worcesterfuneral.com
