Patricia L. Polio, 73

Dateline: Norton, MA

Patricia L. Polio, age 73, of Norton, formerly of Mansfield and Braintree, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at the home of her daughter in Wareham.

Born in Quincy, MA on March 17, 1948, she was a loving daughter of the late former Braintree Police Chief John V. Polio and Juanita (Jennette) Polio.

Pat grew up in Braintree and was a 1966 graduate of Braintree High School. Following a successful career with North Easton Savings Bank, she retired on December 31, 2019 as an Assistant Vice President, following twenty-five years of dedicated service.

Pat was a communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Norton, where she volunteered with Friday Night Bingo and at the annual Christmas Bazaar’s. She was a former member of the Attleboro Rotary Club, served on the Board of Directors at the Norton Senior Center and formerly served as a Board Member at the Daggett-Crandall-Newcomb Home in Norton.

Pat’s family and friends were truly the love of her life. She also enjoyed taking cruises, playing Bingo and was an ardent New England Patriots fan.

She is survived by her devoted children: Kristin L. Hayes and her fiancé Curtis Spooner of Wareham, Erin D. Donovan and her husband Matthew Becker of Lebanon, Maine and William J. Donovan, III and his wife Linda of Medfield. She was the cherished grandmother of Brandon Hayes, Jr., Nicholas Hayes and Julia Hayes. She was the dear sister of Janice Polio of Braintree, the late John Polio, the late Jean Kusser, and is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Wednesday, July 14th at 11:00 A.M. in Saint Mary’s Church, 1 Power Street, Norton. A private burial will follow at the Blue Hills Cemetery in Braintree.

Visiting hours are omitted and in lieu of flowers, Patricia’s wish was that donations in her memory be made to Saint Mary’s Church, 1 Power Street, Norton, MA 02766.
