New Bedford – Sally (Lima) Reis, age 94, of Dartmouth, passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at Sacred Heart Home. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Reis.
Sally was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, to the late Frank Lima and Mary (Mello) Lima. She had been a loving homemaker to her family. She loved doing word search puzzles, watching Dancing With The Stars and also loved to watch figure skating on T.V. Sally also loved all of her cats throughout the years. She truly loved and cherished her time babysitting for her numerous nieces over the years.
Sally is survived by her children, Ronald Reis, who had been her primary caretaker for her last 8 years, David Reis, and Kenneth Reis and his wife Joyce; grandchildren, Jason, Robin, Aaron, Ryan and Kelsey; great-grandchildren, Haleigh, Torie and Jonathan; great-great grandchildren, Kaden, Kaleb, Jace and Jiyel; her beloved cat, Ziggy; as well as many nephews and nieces.
Sally was predeceased by her late siblings, August Lima, Frank Lima, Emily Furtado, Mary Monteiro, Lena Osswald, Alice Roderick, Eva Falcon, Eddie Lima, Joe Lima, Vina Curtis, Florence Medeiros, Raymond Lima and Delores Morris.
Sally’s visiting hours will be held on Saturday afternoon, July 10, 2021 from 1:00 P.M. – 3:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home. Cremation will follow.
