Valera Mary Warczak

Valera Mary Warczak (Val) was born in Chicago, Illinois to parents Arthur & Sarah (Staschke) Tiede on March 12, 1926. Val peacefully passed away on July 4, 2021 at Crestwood Villa II in Ventura, due to natural causes. She is survived by her daughter Nancy Hankinson of Ventura , sister Jean Lonergan (Thomas) & niece Susan Lonergan Aigner ( Dale) of Wisconsin, step-grandchildren Steve Hankinson & Jennifer (Hankinson) Peterein, & step-great grandchildren Steven & Sydni Hankinson & Madison & Farrah Peterein. Val is pre-deceased by her loving spouse James Michael Warczak in 2016.
Val was employed for 32 years by Chicago Public Schools as an executive secretary to various high school & elementary school principals. Val retired at the age of 72 in 1998. In 2001 Val & Jim moved to California to be closer to family , first to Camarillo, & then to the Bonaventure in Ventura where Val worked as an Ambassador, welcoming new residents. She was an avid reader & Mah Jongg player. Due to declining health, Val moved to Crestwood Villa II in 2019, where she was lovingly cared for by Raimonda Banakiene & staff. The family wishes to extend grateful thanks to the Crestwood Villa II staff for the exceptional care that Val received there.
Family and friends are invited to crypt side funeral services to be held on Monday July 12, 2021 at 11am at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura. Arrangements are under the direction of the BOYKO & REARDON TELEGRAPH ROAD MORTUARY & CREMATION, 15 Teloma Drive Ventura.
