Ernest Ponds (73) of Boston died June 30th in the Benjamin Healthcare Center. He was the loving husband of Susan (Cowart) Ponds of Boston.
He was born in Chicago, Illinois, son of the late Lester Ponds and Velma Ponds. Ernest worked as a truck driver and enjoyed fishing and going to the casino’s. He also enjoyed socializing with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife he is survived by 3 sons, Ben and Carlos Cowart both of Brockton and Glenroy Cowart of Boston, 3 daughters, Natasha and Benita Cowart both of Boston and Monae Jamison of Whitman, 19 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Visitation in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Thursday July 8th at 12 noon to 2 pm. Cremation to follow.
