Obituary

CHARLTON: Malcolm B. LaTour, Jr., 72, of Charlton, passed away Friday, July 2 in Mass. General Hospital, Boston after a 17 year courageous battle with amyloidosis and multiple myeloma.
He leaves his wife of 52 years, Lois A. (LaMonda) LaTour, his son Timothy F. LaTour and his wife Melissa of Charlton, his daughters Tracy L. Sullivan and Nicole M. Banfill and her husband Michael all of Charlton, his grandchildren; Austin & Noah LaTour , Taylor & Kylie Sullivan, Paige Bousquet & Madisyn Banfill all of Charlton, two sisters Sharon Berthiaume of Warren and Charlene O'Brien of Charlton, many nieces and nephews.
Malcolm was a Substation Testman for Nationalgrid for 25 years, retiring in 2005 due to illness.
He was born in Worcester, the son of Malcolm B. LaTour, Sr. and Arline (Desy) and later graduated from Leicester High School and attended Worcester Industrial Tech. Institute.
Mal "Butch" was the original MacGyver always fixing and building. He was always the first to offer help and never expected anything in return, that's what made him the happiest. A true humble family man and friend.
