Obituary

East Bridgewater- Robert A. Lamothe, 72, of East Bridgewater died Friday, March 31, 2006, at home after a long illness. He was the husband of Sylvia (Kinsley) Lamothe.

Born Feb. 22, 1934, in Lakeport, N.H., he was the son of the late Robert H. and Dorothy M. (Salvage) Lamothe.

Mr. Lamothe was a PFC in the U.S. Army from 1955-1957.

He was a truck driver for Beacon Fast Freight for 20 years and was a member of the Teamsters Union.

Mr. Lamothe had been a resident of East Bridgewater for the past six years, coming from Dorchester, where he grew up and attended school.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Michele Shuman of Millis, Monique Skinner of Dorchester, Lisa Mackin of Duxbury and Robert Lamothe of North Dartmouth; two sisters, Michele Barrett of Malden and Mary Gannon of N.H.; 10 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held from the Wales-Prophett Funeral Home, 35 Spring St., East Bridgewater, Tuesday at 9:15 am, followed by a funeral Mass in St. John Church at 10 am. Burial will be in Central Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be held Moday 5-9 pm.
