LACONIA----- Estelle 'Tootie' Ann Harris, 87, of 30 County Drive, passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021, at the Belknap County Nursing Home.
Estelle was born on February 22, 1934, in Laconia, the daughter of Erickson and Bertella (Stevens) Foote.
Estelle was predeceased by her husband, Walter C. Harris, Jr., from Belmont. They worked and raised their family in Gilford and Laconia.
She was a voracious reader of biographies and historical fiction. Knitting was a pastime she enjoyed as well as completing jigsaw and crossword puzzles. Cribbage was her favorite card game. Estelle was an avid Red Sox fan, but her true loyalty belonged to Sachem Nation as she attended most of her grandchildren’s Laconia High School soccer, football, basketball, baseball, and lacrosse games.
Estelle is survived by her son, Walter 'Mick' Harris III, and his wife Susan Cummins-Harris, her daughters Judy Harris Ball, and her husband Richard, and Jodi Harris and her partner Ric Brooks, and her three beloved grandchildren; Keith Ball, Abby Ball, and Ian Harris. Estelle is also predeceased by her brothers Eric Foote, Bruce Foote, and Norman Foote.
Calling Hours will be held on Monday, July 12, 2021, from 4:00pm-5:30pm, in the Carriage House, at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH, 03246.
The family would like to extend their deep appreciation to the staff at Belknap County Nursing Home. Estelle received outstanding care and compassion while residing at BCNH and especially during COVID and her last few months of life.
