Obituary

Angelo "Andy" Vitello passed away peacefully at the Winchester Hospital on June 28, 2021. He was 91. Raised in East Boston, he was the son of the late Joseph and Maria (Turco) Vitello. Angelo served with the Army during the Korean War. After his return from the service, he and his brother Joseph embarked on a long career in the retail clothing business. Over the years, Tello’s grew into the largest family owned retail clothier in the Northeast, with 17 locations. A devoted family man, Angelo enjoyed time with his family and friends. He and his wife, Dorothy, looked forward to travelling and taking cruises. In his years of retirement, he and Dorothy enjoyed living in Florida where they welcomed visits from family and Angelo always made time to enjoy a good cigar.

The beloved husband of Dorothy "June" (McEchern) Vitello, Angelo was a devoted father to his son Kirk Vitello of Swampscott and daughter Cindy Andrade and husband Enderson of Reading. He was a loving grandfather to Kirk M., Brittany, Andrew and Raquel. He was a dear brother to the late Carl and Joseph Vitello and Frances Voltero.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, July 7 in St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
