Audrey Sutton Calhoun, 65, of Irwin County, Georgia, died Sunday, April 2, 2006, at Life Care Center in Fitzgerald.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM, Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Wayne McCrimmon officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Calhoun was born August 28, 1940, in Irwin County, Georgia to the late William Clifton and Pauline Parrish Sutton. She had lived in the community all of her life. She was a 1958 graduate of Irwin County High School and attended Ben Hill-Irwin Tech. She was retired secretary for Dorminy Brothers Land & Cattle Company and a member of Big Creek Baptist Church.
Mrs. Calhoun is survived by her two sons: Michael Anthony Howze of Wilmington Beach, NC and Emory Howze of Broxton; one step-son and daughter-in-law: Tom and Connie Calhoun of Irwin County; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one brother and sister in law: Wiley T. and Betty Sutton of Irwinville. She was preceded in death by her husband William Thomas Calhoun.
