Mrs. Leether Peacock Hogan, 79, of Forsyth, Georgia, died Saturday, April 1, 2006 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Richard Jelley officiating. Interment will follow in Irwinville Cemetery, Irwinville. The family will receive friends at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue, Macon from 6-8 Tuesday evening and at Paulk Funeral Home, Fitzgerald one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
Mrs. Hogan was born January 19, 1927, in Ben Hill County, Georgia, to the late A.C. and Mattie Rutherford Peacock. She had lived in Forsyth since 1956 from Irwinville. She was a retired dietician from Goodwill Nursing Home. Mrs. Hogan was of the Methodist faith.
Mrs. Hogan is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: James W., Jr. and Judi Hogan of Macon; daughter and son-in-law: Janice and Mark Potts of Forsyth; one grandson: Jason Hogan; three great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; two sisters: Mavis Griffin of Newport News, VA and Illine Stanfill of Fitzgerald; one brother: Johnny Peacock of Macon; sister-in-law: Virginia Hogan of Irwinville; as well as many adoring nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband: James W. Hogan, Sr. and a sister, Helen Wilcox.
