Obituary


Vivian L. (Haskell) Johnson, age 67 of Foxboro, died Saturday June 26, 2021 at Brigham & Women’s Hospital after a sudden illness. She was the wife of the late Frank W. Johnson. Vivian was born and raised in Brockton, a daughter of the late Charles F. and Hazel I. (Allerby) Haskell . She attended Brockton schools and had lived on the Eastside of city for most of her life before moving to Foxboro sixteen years ago.

Vivian’s working career was spent in the healthcare profession in the South Shore area. She was a nurse’s aide for many years before becoming a medical records director and retired in 2014.

A compassionate woman, Vivian always put others before herself. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and taking care of her animals and fur grandchildren: Buddy (horse), Willie (goat), Sophia and Trevor (dogs) and Boo Kitty (cat). She was especially proud of her daughter Brandy and her accomplishments.

Vivian was the sister of Charles “Butch” Haskell of Kingston, Irene Duff of Raynham, James Haskell of Taunton, Janet Reed of Bridgewater, Norma Haskell of Middleboro, David Haskell of Abington, Barbara Haskell of Brockton, Linda Cruz of Brockton, John Haskell of Plymouth, Ruth Betts of Brockton and the late George Haskell, Sr. Vivian was the sister-in-law of Donna Salhaney of Foxboro, Ronald and Karen Johnson of New Hampshire, Marlene Johnson of South Attleboro, and the late Sandra Haskell of Brockton. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 135 Belmont Street (rte. 123) Brockton on Thursday from 6-8pm. Funeral service in the funeral home on Friday at 10am. Burial in Rock Hill Cemetery in Foxboro.
