Everette Allen Ivey, 80, of Tifton passed away Sunday, June 27, 2021, at his residence. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mr. Ivey at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, July 1, 2021, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest. The Rev. Rickey Wells will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 1, 2021, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Born June 17, 1941, in Ty Ty, Mr. Ivey was the son of the late Everette D. Ivey and Martha Gibbs Ivey. He was also preceded in death by two special cousins, Joel Monk and Betty Monk Johnson. He graduated from Tifton High School and he was a retired farmer and former parts manager at Norman Motors in Tifton. He was also a member of Hickory Springs Primitive Baptist Church in Tifton. He was an Atlanta Braves fan.
Mr. Ivey is survived by his wife of 54 years, Julia “Judy” Norman Ivey of Tifton; a nephew, Neil Norman of Richmond, Virginia; and a niece, Melody Weber of Bradenton, Florida.
