Catherine "Kay" L. McKinnon (Bridgeman) a long-time resident of East Boston, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2021 at the age of 100 years. Born in Boston, Catherine was the cherished daughter of the late John T. and Margaret (Fortune) Bridgeman. Catherine was the beloved wife of the late John McKinnon.
Catherine was the devoted mother of the late George S. Laundry. Catherine was the grandmother of Kirsten Laundry, Emily Marrama, Katy and Billyjack Calkins and the great-grandmother of George, Dale and Bella. Catherine was the dear sister of the late John T. Bridgeman, Margaret Yanovich and Mary A. Coleman. She was the loving aunt of Mary A. Coleman of Winthrop, of the late Kathleen A. Corcoran and her husband William of Winthrop, Diane F. Fitzpatrick and her husband William of Boston, Michael F. Coleman and his wife Jacqueline of North Fort Meyers, Florida, and Paul Yanovich of Weymouth. Catherine is also survived by several great nieces and great nephews.
Catherine was a successful businesswoman for many years in the greater Boston area known for her signature wit. Catherine will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
