William S. “Wiley” Post, 79, of Derry, NH died April 1, 2006 at the Ridgewood Center in Bedford, NH. He was born in Foxboro, MA on June 8, 1926, a son of the late William E. and Olla B. (Dadmun) Post. He was a graduate of Foxboro High School, Class of 1944 and served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He had resided in the Londonderry and Derry area since 1969. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed as an air traffic controller in Boston, MA and the Nashua Regional Center. Mr. Post was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Foxboro, MA and later at the Londonderry United Methodist Church in Londonderry. He was a lifelong avid pilot. An outdoorsman and devoted family man; his cherished grandchildren knew him as “Papa”.
He is survived by four sons: Peter Post of Edgewater, FL, Jeffrey Post of Derry, William G. Post of Deerfield, NH and Christopher Post of Canoga Park, CA; a daughter, Julie Sheehan of Newburyport, MA; and nine grandchildren.
A visiting hour was held on Wednesday, April 5th from 12:30 to 1:30 PM in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A funeral service was held at 1:30 PM in the funeral home. Burial followed in Forest Hill Cemetery, East Derry, NH.
