Obituary

Roger H. Cote, 83, of Mendon Rd. Woonsocket, died Friday at Hospice St. Antoine in North Smithfield. He was the husband of Jeannette (Cournoyer) Cote.
Born in Blackstone, he was a son of the late Joseph and Rose (Lebel) Cote. He was a resident of Woonsocket for most of his life. Mr. Cote worked at the Embassy Restaurant for many years, and also worked as a civilian employee at the Air National Guard Base in North Smithfield, retiring in 1987. He was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Woonsocket, and a former member of the Club Par-X.
In addition to his wife of 55 years, he is survived by five sons, Roger L. Cote, of Blackstone, Rene P. Cote, of Georgia, Donald L. Cote, of Woonsocket, Michael A. Cote, of Woonsocket, and William J. Cote of Mendon, two daughters, Ann Marie C. Cote, of Woonsocket, and Jacqueline R. Fanion, of Seekonk. He was the father of the late Denise Cote. He is also survived by a sister, Therese Cote, of Blackstone, and 5 grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Leo Cote, Rene Cote, Maurice Cote, Raymond Cote, Rina L’Heureux, Aline Laquerre, Simone Cote, and Sr. Muriel Cote.
His funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:30 am from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in St. Joseph Church, Mendon Rd, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours are Monday from 5-8 pm.
