DUDLEY – Jeannette M. (Duclos) DuVerger, age 91, of 9 Michael Lane, died Wednesday, March 29, in
Saint Vincent Hospital after an illness. Her husband of 63 years, Lawrence J. DuVerger, died in 2000.
She leaves 2 sons, Richard N. DuVerger and his wife Marilyn of Danielson, CT, and Donald L. DuVerger of Charlton; a daughter, Nancy L. Berger of Dudley, with whom she lived; a sister, Lucille DuVerger of South Dennis; 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Courtland Duclos.
She was born and raised in Webster, the daughter of Ovila and Albina (Kruzal) Duclos. She lived in Oxford from 1950 to 1965, and then in Southbridge for many years, moving here in 2001. She was a graduate of Saint Anne Academy in Marlboro, and attended Saint Anne College in Lachine, Quebec.
Mrs. DuVerger was a homemaker. She was a member of Saint Anthony of Padua Church. She was proficient at many skills, including sewing, knitting, crocheting, baking and cake decorating. Above all, she treasured her family and her family treasured her.
A memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 12, in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 24 Dudley Hill Road. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Webster. Donations in her name may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main St.,Webster.
