Obituary

Clellan O. Bunn, age 95, of Woburn, formerly a longtime resident of Winchester, passed away on June 22, 2021, lovingly surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of the late Annette (Robinson) Bunn.

Born in Zebulon, North Carolina, he was the son of Mont A. and Ada (Hales) Bunn.
After the death of his parents, Clellan lived with his older brother when he was just 14-years old, and came to the live in the Boston area at age 17. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps., served during World War II, and was employed by DuPont Chemical for many years. He and his late wife Annette moved to Winchester in 1955, and raised their family there. Clellan was an active and respected member of the Second Congregational Church in Winchester. He was also a valued and committed volunteer at Winchester Hospital, and appreciated for his 25+ years of service there, where he dependably logged in over 10,000 volunteer hours. His kind demeanor and friendly smile were his hallmark.

Clellan is survived by his son, Donald Bunn, of Allston. He was predeceased by sons Robert E. Bunn and Richard O. Bunn. He was also the father-in-law of Julie Bunn of Salem, MA and the late Sarah Bunn, the dear grandfather of Johanna Sucharski and her husband Matt, Kimberly Heys and her husband Jim, Christopher Bunn and his wife Keira, Michelle Mearls and her husband Bill, Jonathan Bunn and the late Jaclyn Bunn. He is further survived by 6 great-grandchildren and #7 is coming soon. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours at the Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester, on Thursday from 4-7PM. A Funeral Service will be held in the Second Congregational Church, 485 Washington St., Winchester, on Friday, June 25th at 10AM. At the request of the family, please wear a mask when attending Visiting Hours or the Funeral Service. Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester.
