New Bedford - Charles M. Lopes, age 72, passed away on Monday, June 21, 2021 at his home in New Bedford. He was the loving fiancé of Susan Geiderman and the son of the late Roseline Lopes and Charles S. Lopes.
Born in Acushnet, Ma, he worked as a general roofing contractor in recent years until he no longer could. He loved most sports, such as football, basketball, baseball, and soccer. He was very proud of his accomplishments relating to sports in his younger years as well.
He is survived by his 2 sisters, Susan Lopes and Rose Lopes, both of New Bedford, MA. He has 3 nieces and nephews, Dennisa Lopes, Deneah Thomas, and Dre Mendes. He also has several great-nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life for Charles will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Perry Funeral Home from 11:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. All are welcome to attend.
