Barbara R. (Benoit) Stafford Douglas, age 93, passed away on June 19, 2021 from Mission Care Nursing Home in Holyoke. She was born on September 28, 1927 in Chicopee, a daughter of the late George Benoit and Irene (Parent) Benoit Graves. Barbara was a communicant Holy Name of Jesus Parish formerly Assumption Parish where she was also a member of the Ladies of St Ann. Barbara worked as a money clerk for Third National Bank for many years before she retired. She was an avid golfer and was a member of the Orchard Golf Club in South Hadley. She is predeceased by her first husband Jack L. Stafford, her second husband, Albert Douglas, 3 brothers, Robert, Donald and Richard Benoit and her sister Marion Polchlopek. Barbara is survived by her son John L Stafford of Conway, SC; 2 daughters, Jacqueline M. Prince of Springfield and Elizabeth A. Ferraro of Chicopee; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. All services will be private for family. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery. The Grise Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
