Obituary

Sharon Lundergan Pynn, 76, of Methuen passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Nevins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by her family. Born in Lawrence on March 25, 1945, Sharon was an area resident all her life who retired from the IRS.

Although she enjoyed her career, Sharon’s true calling was caring for her family. Sharon’s idea of a perfect weekend was joining her daughter to cheer on grandsons at basketball games and granddaughters in dog shows. Another favorite activity was going with her grandkids to the barn to ride their horse. Sharon loved all animals, especially her dog, Penny. She volunteered to spend time with dogs at the MSPCA in Methuen. Every week she attended mass and prayed for her loved ones. Sharon cared quietly for everyone she met.

Sharon was predeceased by her parents Charles and Mary Pasho Lundergan, son John A. Pynn, and sister Mary McAtamney. She is survived by her daughter Sherry and her husband Carmen Giuffrida of Methuen, two brothers: Charles Lundergan II and his wife Lynn of Londonderry, NH, Robert Lundergan and his wife Maureen of Raymond, NH, one brother-in-law Paul McAtamney, four grandchildren; Gia, Olivia, Gianni, and Luke and loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to attend Sharon’s funeral Mass on Friday, June, 25, 2021 at 10:00 at St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex St. Andover. Burial will follow in St Augustine Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sharon Pynn Lundergan’s memory to the MSPCA at Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844. Online condolences may be shared at www.burkemagliozzi.com.
