Joseph B. Snyder, 75, of Londonderry, NH, an award winning auto service management professional, family man, golfer and avid sports fan, died Saturday June 19, 2021 from a lingering heart ailment.
He was born in Cambridge, MA on November 6, 1945, a son of Joseph Snyder and Anna (Leva) Santamaria. He had been a resident of Londonderry for the past nine years, formerly living in Stoneham, MA. He was a graduate of Rindge Technical School in Cambridge, MA, and received his Associate's degree from the Wentworth Institute of Technology. Joseph was self employed most of his career in the service station industry, and most recently had worked as the Service Director for Ford of Londonderry. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed gardening and landscaping, but most of all, was devoted to his family.
He is survived by his wife, Louise (Donovan) Snyder of Londonderry; his son, Michael Snyder and his wife Courtney; his daughter, Kristin Snyder; his granddaughter, Kensley Snyder; as well as his brother, Daniel Snyder. He was predeceased by his son, "Joey" M. Snyder in 1985, and his sister, Jean Barry.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 23rd from 5 - 7pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30am in St. Mark The Evangelist Parish, 1 South Road, Londonderry, with cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or Boston Children's Hospital Trust.
