Frank Edward Romero age 67 of Canton passed away at the Brigham & Women’s hospital on June 14th. Born and raised in New York he earned his MBA from Baruch College in New York. Frank was a proud member of the United State Marine Corp from 1970-1978 serving two tours in Vietnam, earning the rank of Sergeant in 1974; he was a member of the “Swift 22”, the final Marine Guards to be lifted by helicopter off the roof of the U.S. Embassy in Saigon just before 8:00 a.m. on April 30, 1975. Frank worked as a Marketer for City Bank in MD and NY and Fidelity in Boston. As a 4th Degree Karate Master he competed in Japan winning the Championship Title. He is survived by his common-law wife of 23 years Cynthia Bezerdy and her children; John, Stephanie, Christine and Jennifer, his parents Henry & Aurora Romero of New York, his siblings Henry Romero of NY and Denise Romero of NC, his grandchildren, Nina, Matthew, Olivia, Brianna, Luke, Marylyn, Ruby and Blaze, his nieces and nephews, Samantha, Henry, Alex and Amber. Predeceased by his son Frank Romero, Jr. Frank will be remembered as a great neighbor and friend. Visiting hours in the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton on Friday, June 25th from 4-8 pm. Followed by a prayer service. Burial private. Marine Corp Veteran Vietnam.
