Henson, Mary J. age 78 of South Boston, died June 15, 2021 at home peacefully in her sleep.
Mary was predeceased by her parents Mary L. (MacRae) Brown and John P. Brown. Her husband James Henson, her son James ‘Jim Jim’ Henson. Her siblings, Catherine MacRae, Bernice ‘Gerry’ Bastis, Phyllis Wyatt, Donald ‘Emo’ Landry, Katherine ‘Kay’ Jones and James ‘Sonny’ Brown.
Mary is survived by her loving children - John Henson and Cheryl Steadman of Quincy, Mary ‘Sissy’ Quimby and the late William ‘Earl’ Quimby of South Boston, Melvin Henson of South Boston, Linda Myers and Dave Wanders of Stoughton and Ronald ‘Ron’ Henson and Kate Henson of South Boston and her loving son in law Charles Myers of Braintree. She is also survived by her loving grand children, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Mary loved and adored her family and friends. She had a heart of gold and would take anyone in who needed help. She loved playing video games and playing games online. Most of all, she loved when her family got along and enjoyed each other’s company.

Visiting Hours will be held at the Casper Funeral Home located at 187 Dorchester Street in South Boston on Sunday, June 20, 2021 from 3 -7 PM. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Monica Parish in South Boston on Monday, June 21, 2021 at 10 AM followed by interment at St. Michael Cemetery.
