Obituary

Keith Winfield Eric Worrell of Randolph, Ma also known as Ken by friends and family, passed away on June 15, 2021, at the age of 79. Keith was born in Rectory Hill, Speightstown, St. Peter, Barbados, West Indies on October 11, 1941. Keith was the son of Eulalene Worrell and Reginal Paris and brother to Herma and Celeste(deceased). Keith attended Black Bess Primary School in St. Peter from age 5 to 18 years old. Keith started his first job at Eastry House hotel in St. Peter where he worked as a waiter for many years. He was loved by hotel owners who eventualy took him in with them to Switzerland, he resumed employment at Eastry House hotel. In 1972, he moved to Sunset Lodge hotel where he worked for eight years as a waiter before moving to Discovery Bay hotel in St. James. During that time, he worked as a waiter for 10 years, and then as a Maitre D'. Thereafter, he worked at the Great House in St. James as a Butler until he immigrated to the United States of America in 1990 to live in New York.

Keith worked at Eastern Safety Equiptment Corporation in Maspeth, NY for 10 years. In 2000, he moved to Massachusetts, and was later diagnosed with a health condition. Keith fought various illneses, which prevented him from further participating in the workforce. He remained close to his family and was an active member of Greenwood United Methodist Church, where he and his wife Marva attended services every Sunday.

Keith met Marva Editha Cumberbatch in the 1960's through his sister Herma. They dated until they married on June 15, 1974. Life with Keith was filled with lots of love and understanding. They had two children Leroy and Keith. Additionally, he had three grandchildren, Omar, Andre, Shakia: two great grandchildren, Anahsia, Kamari, two nieces Beverly, Nicole and a nephew Sylvan. Keith is survived by his loving wife Marva Worrell (Cumberbatch), sons Keith Cumberbatch and Leroy Cumberbatch. Keith is the loving brother of Celeste Worrell and sister Herma.

Keith loved to watch western movies, cricket and wrestling. He loved doing crossword puzzles, reading western novels, listening to country and western music. Keith was always surrounded by his wife, his children, grandchildren, and other extended family and friends.

Keith was called home at Milton Hospital on June 15, 2021. We will always remember and cherish his memories.

Viewing hours are Friday June 25, 2021 from 9-10 AM in the Joseph Russo Funeral Home, located at 814 American Highway Roslindale, Ma., followed by a Service at 10 AM. Burial will be immediately following in Oaklawn Cemetery located at 427 Cummins Highway, Roslindale, Ma.
