Brian Jim Partin, 56, of New Bedford passed away in the arms of the Lord on June 9, 2021 due to Covid related issues.
He was born in New Bedford, the son of the late Shirley June (Dias) Partin and Ralph Partin.
Brian was a fisherman for the most of his life. He loved the profession, his fishermen brothers and being at sea. Brian worked on many boats on the New Bedford waterfront as well as other ports and was well known in the fishing industry. He had a heart as big as gold, enjoyed sharing what he had with others. He loved cooking for everyone and took great pride when they enjoyed it. Most of all, he loved being with his family and good friends.
Survivors include son, Jacob Monteiro, daughters Shannon Partin, Elizabeth Partin, Nikkie Frates and Jessa Frates, his sister Sharon Partin Castillo, cousin Darlene Monteiro, nephew Nathan Finocchi and grandchildren Mia, Koda, John, Eva and his long time best friend and rock Terrie Frates.
Brian’s visitation will be held Friday, June 18th from 4-8pm at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
