Passed away unexpectedly on June 7th
She was born in Amsterdam, Netherlands on February 20, 1940 to Maria and Henk Kersting and later adopted by William F. Boni. She is preceded in death by her parents Maria and Bill Boni; her husband of 28 years John J. ‘Jack’ Fischer; and her brother-in-law Charlie Hughes. She is survived by her sisters Mariette (Tom) Bock and Nell Hughes; daughter Cassandra Ngatuwi; son Randy (Wendy) Smith; stepson Jon Fischer; nine grandchildren Anastasia Smith, Nathanael (Elizabeth) Smith, Charissa Smith, Rebekah Smith, Benjamin (Abigayl) Smith, Andrew Smith, Tim Smith, Sophia Smith, and Sarah Smith along with 3 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday 6/14 from 4 to 7 PM at Sandberg Funeral Home, 2593 E. 7th Ave., North St. Paul. Funeral Service Tuesday 6/15 at 10:30 AM at Sandberg’s. Interment to follow at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
