Obituary

Judith A. “Judy” (Mahoney) Vezinat of Stoneham passed away on Saturday, June 5th. She was 80. Born and raised in Malden, she was the cherished daughter of the late William T. and Beatrice (Brunaccini) Mahoney.

A natural people person, Judy loved everyone, and they loved her. Her sense of humor, caring personality, kind disposition, and willingness to help anyone made her one of a kind. Judy enjoyed visiting the casinos, getting everyone together to play card games, dancing the night away and finding the next best deal. She was the ultimate bargain shopper. Judy always looked forward to embarking on the next cruise with her sister Carole. They enjoyed spending time in the Caribbean and other tropical destinations.

Judy loved all types of animals. The neighborhood stray cats, raccoons, squirrels, birds and opossums were trained to know where to eat, making them quite plump, which often led Judy and her nephew Jim to make weekly trips to Costco so that they were always prepared for Judy’s furry visitors. Not only were they fed daily, they were provided homemade shelters to keep them warm and dry. Judy was a dedicated daughter, sister, amazing aunt, great aunt and friend, and will be greatly missed by all.

Judy was loved dearly by her sister Carole Bradley and her late husband Daniel. She was the loving aunt of Danielle Bradshaw and her husband Jim, and the late Michele Bradley. She was the caring great aunt of Garrick Headrick, Shawn P. Fairweather, Jimmy R. Bradshaw, and Danny L. Bradshaw. She was the loving niece of Charles Brunaccini and his wife Kathleen, and is also survived by many loving cousins.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family on Friday, June 11th from 10 to 11 AM at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 11:30 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
