Obituary

Constance B. ‘Connie’ ‘Memere’ (Bastille) Hand, of Lowell, passed away peacefully in her sleep after a long illness with her family by her side on, Thursday, June 3, 2021 at her home.

A daughter of the late Charles Willette and the late Lucille (Bastille) Willette, she was born July 14, 1942, in Nashua, New Hampshire and educated in Nashua. She later moved to Lowell where she settled down to raise her family.

She attained an Associates Degree in the Medical Field from Middlesex Community College. She worked at various area hospitals including Massachusetts General Hospital and St. Joseph’s Hospital to name a few, and had also worked for various private practices over the years.

She enjoyed spending time gaming on her computer and was an avid collector of antiques. She was also a fixture at Amherst Flea Market, along with her best friend, the late Dottie Connolly, where they maintained a shop for over 20 years, specializing in antiques.

Her survivors include her children, Cheryl Judd of Lowell, Sandra Hand and her wife, Beth Townsend, of Henderson, KY, Frederick C. Hand and his wife, Ellie, of Evansville, IN, and her stepson, Timothy Stimpson of Lowell; her seven grandchildren, Nicole Hand Brooks and her husband, George Brooks, IV, of Lowell, Kira Judd of Lowell, Jessica Keach of Henderson, KY, Laura Hand and her fiance, Cody of Evansville, IN, Katie Keach of Henderson, KY, Brianna Stimpson of Illinois, Thomas Dillon of Lowell, and Savannah Smith Hand of Lowell; her four great grandchildren, Ezzrah, Kaiden, Ethan, and Willow; her brother in law, Mark Hand of NC; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also the mother of the late Pamela Hand and sister in law of the late Pat Texeira and was the former wife of the late Frederick Hand who died November 2020.
