Obituary

Ronald D. “Ronnie” Palumbo 72, formerly of Franklin, passed away peacefully, at home, with his family at his side, Sunday June 6, 2021 following an illness.

Born February 24, 1949, in Milford a son of the late Romeo A. and Lorraine (Demers) Palumbo-Druan, he was a longtime Franklin resident.

He was raised and educated in Franklin, and was a graduate of Franklin High School Class of 1967. While at Franklin High School, he became a track star and set the record for the 50 yard dash.

He was the former co-owner of Palumbo Bros Auto Body, Liberty Package liquor store and also worked as an aide at the former Medfield State Hospital.

Ronnie enjoyed muscle cars including his 1967 GTX, which he raced in Epping, NH, playing softball that he won many championships, watching movies and loved to be with his family. He was always the center of attention, could make you laugh and had a gift for storytelling.

He is survived by his children, Ronald W. “Ronnie” Palumbo of Franklin, Ashley E. Davey and her husband Sean of Franklin, & Ariella G. Palumbo and her partner Bostin J. Loyd of Spring Hill, FL, siblings, Randal L. Palumbo and his wife Susan Conena of Franklin, Lorraine Getchell and her husband William of Franklin, Rona Palumbo and her partner John W. Cronin of Wareham and his former spouse Ruth E. (Bremilst) Palumbo.

Also surviving are his cherished grandchildren, Shane, Ethan, Callieanna, Bryson and Jaxtin.

Ronnie also loved and got great comfort from his dog Simba.

At Ronnie’s request a private graveside service will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Franklin.
