Florence J. Lindquist (O’Brien) of Winthrop passed away on June 5, 2021. She was 91 years old. Florence was the beloved wife of the late Donald J. Lindquist. Born in Malden, she was the cherished daughter of the late John and Selma (Swanson) O’Brien.
Prior to her retirement, Florence worked as a secretary for the Peabody and Lane Steamship Company. She was a devoted wife and loving mother to her children and family.
Florence was the devoted mother of Paul J. Lindquist and Robert J. Lindquist and his wife Jesselyn, (formerly of Bacolod City, Philippines), all of Winthrop. She was the dear sister of the late Grace McMorris, Helen O’Brien, Frances O’Brien and John O’Brien. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Florence’s funeral will be from the Maurice W. Kirby Funeral Home 210 Winthrop St. Winthrop on Friday, June 11, at 9AM, followed by a funeral Mass in St. Michael the Archangel Parish (formerly St. John the Evangelist Church)-Winthrop at 10AM. Relatives and friends are invited. Interment will be in Puritan Lawn Cemetery-Peabody. Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home on Thursday from 4-6PM.
