Rita F. (Whalen) Hartwich of Middleboro formerly of Newton Upper Falls died Thurs March 30, 2006 at her home. She was 86.
Born in Watertown she graduated from St. Patrick’s High School. She lived in Newton Upper Falls for many years before moving to Middleboro. She worker for many years as a waitress at The Beacon Restaurant in Newton Centre and later worked at the Stop & Shop in Needham. She had been active with the Newton Upper Falls Senior Citizens.
Wife of the late Evalt “Charlie” Hartwich she is survived by her daughter Linda Harwich of Middleboro and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Florence M. Brennan and John and Joseph Whalen.
Relatives and friends will gather at the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave. Needham on Mon Apr 3, 2006 at 9 AM and proceed to a Mass of Christian Burial in Mary Immaculate of Lourdes Church, Elliot St. Newton Upper Falls, at 10 AM. Interment will follow at The Gardens at Gethsemane in West Roxbury. Visiting hours will be in the funeral home on Sun from 4-8 PM.
