Obituary

WAYLAND: Mafalda C. “Muffy” (Caldarelli) Boschetto, 94, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 2, 2021.
She was born in East Boston on September 10, 1926 the daughter of the late Faustino (James) Caldarelli and Laurina (Latora) Caldarelli.
Muffy is survived by her children Andrew Boschetto and his wife Claire of Auburn, MA; Joseph Boschetto and his wife Kate of Norwood, MA; Robert Boschetto and his wife Julee of Marshfield, MA; Laurene Swinimer and her husband Judson of Taunton, MA; Donna Andrea-Ennis of Middletown, RI; Anthony Boschetto and his wife Kathy of Framingham and the late Elizabeth Boschetto. Beloved grandmother of Jonathan Boschetto; Nicholas Boschetto; Concetta Boschetto; Dominick Boschetto; Adrienne Boschetto; Matthew Boschetto; Timothy Boschetto; Kristen McMahon; Jesse Boschetto; Jodi Boschetto; Judson Swinimer; Julie Swinimer McAndrews; Stephen Andrea; Daniel Ennis; Ethan Ennis; Benjamin Boschetto; Christian Boschetto; Michael Boschetto and Isabella Boschetto. Cherished great-grandmother of James Boschetto; Olivia Boschetto; Mia McMahon; Jessie Boschetto; Isaac Swinimer; Chloe Swinimer; Nash Swinimer; Cole Sparks; Maya McAndrews; Connor McAndrews; Wynn Andrea; Braxton Andrea and Baby Boy Boschetto coming in July. Also survived by her sister Ines Scaduto and the late Al, Armando, Natale and Clara. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Muffy spent her formative years in East Boston and West Roxbury. She also resided in Billerica before moving to Bent Park in Wayland 20 years ago, where she had many friends.
She was an accomplished seamstress and over the years created many prom gowns worn by her granddaughters. In her earlier years, she was associated with the family owned and operated Boschetto Bakery in Roslindale on a daily basis.
She loved cooking and gatherings with her large family and will be loved by them as the wonderful and caring foundation of the family. She was kind and enjoyed being with people from all walks of life and she always put others before herself in all that she did and provided to her family.
Visitations will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (off Rt. 30), Wayland.
At the request of her family, face coverings will be optional for visitations.
Her family strongly suggests that flowers be omitted and memorial donations in her memory may be sent to the Perkins School for the Blind, 175 North Beacon St, Watertown, MA 02472 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
