WORCESTER____Helen A. (Cikota) Labunski, 90, of 841 Merrimack St., Lowell, formerly of 244 Belmont St., died Saturday July 20 in Lowell General Hospital, Lowell.
Her husband of 60 years, Michael S. Labunski died in 1993.She leaves a daughter, Dorothy J. Coffin of Merrimack, New Hampshire; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. Another daughter, Irene Frances Landry of Worcester died in 1999. She was also predeceased by a grandson, Paul Landry and by five brothers. She was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of Bronislaw and Frances (Miczkiewicz) Cikota and later lived nine years in Bridgeport, Ct., before returning here in 1942. She lived in Worcester for most of her life.
Mrs. Labunski was a sales clerk several years for Helens Bakery before she retired. Before then she was a sales clerk several years for the former Fannie Farmer store in Worcester.
She was a member of Our Lady of Czetochowa Church and the American Association of Retired Persons where she served as a chapter secretary.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday July 24, from Henry-Dirsa Funeral Home, 33 Ward St.,(www.worcesterfuneral.com) with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Tuesday July 23, from 6 to 8 p.m.
