Joyce E. Sayre Cardinal, 84 of Ventura, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday evening May 30, 2021.
Joyce was born on June 10, 1936 in Burbank, California to George and Mary Compton and she lived in Ventura all of her life.
She was a realtor for 42 years. She loved her work and enjoyed traveling.
Joyce married Kenneth Sayre on April 1, 1956 and was happily married to him for 38 years until he passed away in 1994.
Joyce married her husband Donald Cardinal on November 29, 2003 and they have been married for over 17 happy years.
Joyce is also survived by her son: Jamie Sayre, of Ventura; her daughter: Stacey Sloan and her husband Gerry, of Santa Paula; her stepsons: Mike Cardinal and his wife, Barbara, of San Diego, and Tim Cardinal and his wife, Denise, of Oregon; her stepdaughter: Pam Cardinal, of Arizona; her brothers: George Compton and James Compton, of Ventura; nine grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. Joyce was preceded in death by her sister, Joan Bridges.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 7, 2021 at 11:00 am at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura.
