Obituary

Mary L. Hallsworth Hicks
July 22,1953 - May 28, 2021

Mary was diagnosed with Neuroendocrine Cancer, five years ago, in which she fought a valiant battle. To say our family lost our beautiful sister Mary would only be a half truth. Jesus called Mary home to be with the other Angels, because it was time. So in truth we did not lose Mary, she is simply in a better place where the pain is with her no more.
She was the much loved older sister, who had a heart of gold. Although the hole she left behind is huge, it was left full of love.
Mary was born in Anchorage Alaska, the first daughter to Frederick and Lucille Hallsworth, who predeceased her in 2014. Mary is survived by her two grown children who she loved with everything that was in her! Jaclyn Felicia Hicks and Bryan Allen Hicks. A special Daughter in Law, Heather Marie Hicks. Mary was Nana to her granddaughters Aubree Lucille, Ella Mae and Emilia Grace who she lovingly spoiled. She remained close to Mark Hicks who was always willing to lend a hand and help in any way. Also her sisters and her brother, Barbara Fearon, Susan Shaw, Christine Hallsworth, Tom Hallsworth and Teresa Hallsworth. Brother in Law, Frank Fearon and Sister in Law, Beth Kenney Hallsworth. Many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Mother in Law, one Aunt, and many friends.

Mary had one final request per her son Bryan. Mary did not want anyone wearing black to her funeral, so please wear pretty colors to help us celebrate her life.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM on June 4th at St. Mary's Church, Bangor.
Reception immediately follows in the Church Hall.

In lieu of flowers Mary would have loved donations to go to either:

Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Ave. Boston, MA 02215
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place. Memphis, TN 38105
Her tear filled wish was that no child would suffer from cancer.

While most covid restrictions have been lifted, Frank Fearon has bladder cancer with upcoming bladder removal surgery. The family respectfully requests the use of face coverings at the funeral.
