Obituary

WEBSTER – Aline A. (Bellerose) Duval, 92, died May 25, 2021 in St. Paul, Minnesota, after a period of declining health. She was preceded in death by husband Donald, to whom she was married for 67 years, and sons Roger and René.

She leaves a daughter, Elise (Paul) Werger of Minnesota; daughter-in-law, Karen Duval of Colorado; grandchildren Heather (Chris) Abatelli and Bryan (Jennifer) Duval of Colorado, Evangeline Werger, Maria Werger and Magdalena Werger of Minnesota; great-grandchildren Karalyn Abatelli, Kadyn Duval, and Tyler Abatelli of Colorado; sisters Jeannette (Nelson) Lamothe of Florida and Elaine (Paul) Story of Connecticut, and a brother, René Dugas, Jr. of Connecticut.

She was born on January 1, 1929 in Webster, daughter of Horace and Alexandrina (Dugas) Bellerose, and graduated from Saint Anne School’s commercial course. She was a homemaker, hand-painted professional photographs for her uncle, René Dugas, Sr. and worked as the assistant manager of Putnam Gift Shop before retiring in 1985. She was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish and belonged to the Ladies of Saint Anne and the Circle of Charity. She enjoyed cooking, music, sewing, dancing, and the French language. She moved to the Overlook in Charlton in 2017 and to Minnesota in 2019.

Her funeral will be held Friday, June 4, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, with a Mass at 9:30 A.M. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main Street. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. Thursday, June 3, in the funeral home. Current health guidelines will be followed.
