Obituary

WEBSTER – Joseph W. “Joe” Piniarski, 72, died Wednesday, May 26, 2021 after being stricken ill at home.

He leaves his wife of 49 years, Patricia B. (LaPlante) Piniarski; a son, William J. Piniarski and his wife Jennifer of St. Augustine, FL; a daughter, Lori J. Piniarski of Webster; 5 grandchildren, Hailey and Ridley Piniarski, and Noah, Samuel and Hope Ceppetelli; a brother, Michael E. Piniarski and his wife Kathleen of North Grosvenordale, CT; nephews and nieces; and his beloved golden retriever Champ. His twin brothers, John and Joseph Piniarski, died in 1945.

He was born in Webster on December 10, 1948, the son of Michael P. and Mary (Kos) Piniarski and was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Bartlett High School in 1966 and from Nichols College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business in 1970. He later became a certified public accountant.

He owned and operated Joseph W. Piniarski, CPA in Webster and more recently in Oxford. He was the auditor for many different businesses and groups.

Mr. Piniarski was a director and former president of the Webster First Federal Credit Union. He served on the board of the Webster EMS for 18 years and on the Board of Directors of Hubbard Regional Hospital. He was a longtime member and past treasurer of the former Webster-Dudley Rotary Club. He enjoyed golfing and playing the guitar.

Funeral arrangements are private. Donations in his name may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104. Arrangements are under the direction of Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster.
