TEWKSBURY: Paul A. Coyne, age 68, a resident of Tewksbury for 66 years, died Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at the Lowell General Hospital.
He was the husband of Mary Patricia (Krasinski) Coyne, with whom he celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary on October 4th.
Born in Somerville on April 6, 1937, he was the son of the late Walter D. Coyne, Sr. and Mary M. (McCarron) Coyne.
Mr. Coyne was raised in Tewksbury.
He attended St. Peter’s and Sacred Heart parochial schools in Lowell and Tewksbury High School.
Prior to his retirement in 1991, he was employed for over 30 years as a heavy equipment operator by the Foster Masonry Products Company of Acton (formerly Lexington Sand & Gravel Co.)
Mr. Coyne was a member of the Wakefield Lodge of Elks and the Club Fitness Center of Lowell.
He enjoyed annual hunting trips with his son in Maine, traveling to Florida with his wife, maintaining the grounds and landscape around his home and detailing automobiles.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son; Edmund P. Coyne and his wife Cynthia A. (Whippen) of Tewksbury; two grandchildren; Olivia J. and Mykala E. Coyne both of Tewksbury; two sisters; Kathleen Walton and her husband Frank of New Smyrna Beach, FL and Maura Tinkham of Salisbury, MA; one sister-in-law; Blanche A. (Rondini) Coyne of Wakefield, RI; also many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Coyne was the brother of the late Walter D. Coyne, Jr., Donald V. Coyne and Vincent P. Coyne.
Calling hours Friday, March 31st, 6-8 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Funeral Saturday, April 1st , 9 a.m., from the funeral home. Funeral Mass Saturday, 10 a.m., at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Interment at St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 are requested.
