Dolores C. Labarre, 90, died May 24, 2021 at Villa Crest Retirement Community following a brief illness.
She was born in Manchester on January 28, 1931 the daughter of Louis and Laurette (Corriveau) Chartrand.
She was a longtime resident of Bedford, for 54 years, where she and her husband raised their children.
She was a charter member of St. Elizabeth Seton Parish. She had several hobbies during her long life. She enjoyed cake decorating and was an avid seamstress. She enjoyed playing card games - especially cribbage with her family. But she will be remembered most for her love of her family and her wonderful sense of humor.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Labarre on August 7, 2003, and her daughter, Denise Boire on May 4, 2007.
Family members include her son, James Labarre and his wife Karen of Manchester, her daughter, Donna Karkos and her husband Richard of Topsham, ME., eight grandchildren; Jennifer, Christopher, Kelsey, Emily, Nick, Zachary, Timothy, Robert, four great grandchildren; Lily, Victoria, Paxton, Christina, and one sister, Pauline Fetcko of GA.
She was also predeceased by two brothers; Robert and Richard Chartrand, and one sister, Georgette Sequin.
A memorial reception will be held on Sunday, June 6, 2021 from 11am to 12 pm at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.
A prayer service will follow after the reception in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you do something nice for a frontline or nursing home worker you know. The family thanks the staff at The Meetinghouse and Villa Crest for her care.
