Obituary

WEBSTER – Helen M. (Grzegorczyk) Strycharz, 84, of 11 Golden Heights, died Tuesday, March 29, in the transitional care unit at Hubbard Regional Hospital. Her husband, Francis Strycharz, died in 1991.

She leaves 2 sisters, Jane Grzegorczyk of Philadelphia, PA, and Mary Hagen of Cape May, NJ; and numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her 2 brothers, Mitchell and Marian Grzegorczyk.

She was born and raised in Philadelphia, a daughter of Joseph A. and Paulina (Bienkowski) Grzegorczyk. She lived in Blackstone for 45 years before moving to Webster 8 years ago. She graduated from John Bartram High School in Philadelphia in 1941.

Mrs. Strycharz was a bookkeeper at the N. Smithfield branch of Tupperware Company for 40 years before retiring in 1984. Along with her husband, she owned and operated the Strycharz farms in Millville.

She was a communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, and was a participant in its bible study groups. She was a former communicant of Saint Paul’s Church in Blackstone. She enjoyed knitting for church projects.

The funeral will be held Saturday, April 1, from Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., with a Mass at 9:30 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main St. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Blackstone. Calling hours will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Friday, March 31, in the funeral home.
