SAN DIEGO, CA – Clara P. “Claire” Nadolski, 97, a former resident of Webster, died Tuesday, May 11, 2021 in Nobel Living Retirement Home after a period of declining health.
She leaves her lifelong friend, Norma Waters; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers, John, Joseph, Edward and Bruno, and by 5 sisters, Florence, Viola, Celia, Wanda and Alice.
She was born in Webster on November 1, 1923, the daughter of John J. and Mary (Konicki) Nadolski and graduated from Bartlett High School in 1941. She lived in Webster before moving to San Diego over 30 years ago.
She first worked as a hairdresser for several years and then at the former American Optical Company in Southbridge for 33 years. In California, she was a nursing assistant before she retired.
Miss Nadolski enjoyed cooking and gardening. A highlight of her life was a trip to Hawaii.
A graveside service will be held at noon on Tuesday, May 25, in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace, Old Worcester Road, Webster. There are no calling hours. Local arrangements are under the direction of Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster.
