SPRINGFIELD – Carol (Edgerton) Danenza, 78, of the Mason Wright Apartments in Springfield and a former longtime resident of East Longmeadow, was Called Safely Home on Tuesday, May 18, 2021. She passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Springfield on November 27, 1942, a beloved daughter of the late David W. and Marion R. (Smith) Edgerton. She was raised in Springfield, graduated from the High School of Commerce and had lived in East Longmeadow for many years before returning to Springfield in 2020. She was employed as a typist and later as a stenographer for The Equifax Company in Springfield. During her leisure time, she enjoyed reading and solving word search puzzles. Above all, she loved spending time with family and her many friends. She leaves her loving son, Anthony W. Danenza of Springfield; her loving son-in-law, Walter Fuller of Connecticut; her four cherished grandchildren, Jason Danenza and Jenn Foucher, both of Springfield, Anthony Danenza II and his wife, Leslie, of Fort Worth, TX and Kyle Cronin-Danenza of Hampden; her five cherished great-grandchildren, Gabriel Marchetti, Amariano and Ja’nyla Danenza and Max and Alex Garcia; her longtime companion, Cliff Leavenworth of Bradenton, FL; her two dear sisters, Gail Vatrano and her husband, Sam, of Longmeadow and Sharon Preston of Chicopee; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving daughter, Lisa A. Fuller who was Called Home on November 2, 2020; and her dear sister and brother-in-law, Judy LaPointe and her husband, Lou. Her funeral services and burial will be private.
