Obituary

Minot - Jeannette “Susie” Goss Therriault, passed away on May 14, 2021, at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House after a short illness. She was born in Portland, Maine on June 11, 1949, a daughter of the late Eugene and Armande (Laflamme) Corcoran.

She attended schools in Cumberland and Mechanic Falls, Maine. During her high school years, Susie met the love of her life, Robert Goss from Poland, Maine whom she married on August 24, 1968.

After graduating from Mechanic Falls High School Susie was employed at UNUM. She later worked with Robert and his family at Goss Apple Orchard and in 1971 they started their family. Susie later became the tax assessor at the Poland Town Office and was a dedicated employee for over thirty years.

Susie was an active member and secretary of Grace Fellowship Church. Her dedication to the church remains visible through the stained glass window she helped to create. Along with her love of the church she also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Until Robert’s passing in August of 2000, they enjoyed their time vacationing in Aruba and Florida with their beloved friends Joel and Linda Palmer.

In 2008, Susie married Lee Therriault of Minot, Maine.

Susie is survived by her daughters, Lisa Goss Ferland, of Auburn, Maine, and Traci Goss of Poland, Maine; her five grandchildren, Trent Ferland, Mackaylee Mason, Tyson Peters, Harley Ramsey, Annaliese Peters, and her soon-to-be great-granddaughter, Elianna Mae Peters. She is also survived by her sisters, Nancy Corcoran, Pam Corcoran Galarneau, and Linda McLaughlin-Dubois; her brother David Corcoran and his wife Amy Corcoran.

Susie held a special place in the heart of all of her many nieces and nephews and will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date.
