Obituary

LEICESTER-Charles A. Paul, Sr., 97, formerly of 1075 Main Street, died Sunday, March 19th in St. Vincent Hospital. He leaves a son, Charles A. Paul, Jr. of Millbury, a daughter Susan Hickey of Leicester, a step-son John Sepavich of Sebring, FL, 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. A daughter Judith Booden and a brother James Paul predeceased him.

He was born in Lowell the son of Samuel and Hattie (Hastings) Paul. He was a World War II Army veteran and participated in the Ansio Beach Head landing. He was the oldest soldier in his company. Mr. Paul had been employed for 35 years as a pasteurizer for the former Greenwood Dairy. Previously he had worked for Hanover Insurance, O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home and the Northworks Restaurant. He was a lifetime member of Main South Post 341 American Legion, the Leicester Rod and Gun Club, where he also had worked until the age of 91 and the Leicester Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed watching all sports, especially the Boston Red Sox. Most of all Charlie will be deeply missed by his children and grandchildren who were most fortunate to have had him for so many years.

The funeral is Thursday, March 30th with a service at 11:00 AM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park. Calling hours are from 9:00 AM until the time of the funeral the day of the funeral.
