Bridgewater- Anna L. (Lyons) Harty, 91, of Bridgewater died Monday, March 27, 2006, at Bridgewater Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of Joseph E. Harty.
Born Jan. 3, 1915, in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Annie (Conley) Lyons.
Mrs. Harty grew up in South Boston and attended schools there.
She worked as an assembler at the Gilletts Co. in Boston for 20 years.
Mrs. Harty had been a resident of Bridgewater for the past 12 years.
She enjoyed playing the lottery and bingo.
In addition to her husband of 64 years, she is survived by her children, James Harty, Donna Feely and Dianne Howe, all of Bridgewater and Daniel Harty of S. Boston; her nephew, John Conlon of Plainville. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held from the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater, Friday at 8:15 am, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Thomas Aquinas Church at 9 am. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Avon.
Visiting hours are Thursday 4-8 pm.
