Jerry Lee McCord, 68, of Anderson, passed away on May 10, 2021 at Community Hospital in Anderson.
He was born on February 11, 1953 in Anderson, the son of Ermel Max McCord and Carolyn (Smith) Brown. He was employed by General Motors for 43 year and was involved with Thoroughbred Horse racing for 20 years.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 39 years, Dianna (Barrett) McCord; two children, Shane McCord and Kelly McCord; two step daughters, Nichole (Rodney D.) Riall and Michelle Krieg; sister, Pamela McCord; several grandchildren and great grandchildren including special grandson and caretaker Koty and his son Kolin.
He was precede in death by his parents and his stepfather, Keith Brown.
A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
