Obituary

Marcel “Louie” Lambert of Rochester, New Hampshire (formerly of Salem) went to the big dancehall in the sky having passed away at his home with his family at his side on May 8, 2021. He had just celebrated his 92nd birthday on April 24, 2021.
Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Joseph and Alice Lambert. He was raised in the “Castle Hill” area of Salem with his seven siblings and educated in the Salem Public Schools.
He enlisted in the United States Army during the Korean War serving his country before his honorable discharge in 1953. After serving in the military, he worked as a chemical engineer for Morton Thiokol, Inc (formerly known as Ventron Corporation) in Beverly, MA until his retirement at age 62.
Louie was a lifetime member of the VFW Organization, Post 1524 Salem, MA, having the honor of serving as Post Commander at one time. He also was a member of the American Legion and the Victoire Club in Rochester, N.H.
Anyone who knew Louie knows that he was a little man with the biggest heart. He loved his two wives, six children, eighteen grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren unconditionally. He was the life of the party at every family event always being the first and last one on the dance floor and was able to dance at each and everyone of his grandchildren’s weddings. He will be missed by all.
Louie is survived by his daughter Lorri DeFrancesco and her husband Barry of Salem, son Michael Lambert and his wife Dawna of Rochester, N.H, daughter Donna Smith of Peabody, son Thomas “Tiger” Lambert and his wife Donna of Salem, daughter Susan Hills and her husband Peter of Farmington, N.H. and son Chris Lambert and his fiancée Sharon Burns of Rochester, N.H., his cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren, his sisters Terry Scott of Carlsbad, CA and Claudette Lambert of Beverly, and of course his cat Macie.
Louie was predeceased by his first wife Donna (Surles) Lambert, his second wife Darlene (Conn) Lambert, son-in-law Lee Smith, sisters Eva Vistorino and Jeannette Lyons, brothers Leo, Hector and Norman Lambert.



Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to his calling hours at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem. MA on Thursday, May 13, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Ste. Anne Church, 290 Jefferson Ave., Salem, MA on Friday, May 14th at 11:00 AM. Burial and Military Honors will follow at Central Cemetery, Butman St., Beverly. All guests must wear protective face masks and practice Social Distancing.
